San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in Escondido, Oceanside and San Diego, we provide animal services for 12 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities, but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

The Feral Cat Coalition is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the overpopulation of feral and abandoned cats through free, humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). We believe it is our responsibility, as a community, to care for cats that have been forced, through human abandonment or failure to spay and neuter, to live outdoors. When appropriate, we lend humane traps, with instructions, for the purpose of trapping, neutering, and returning feral cats to their outdoor homes, where they are monitored by caretakers.

Since 1992, we have spayed and neutered more than 50,000 community cats. Licensed veterinarians perform spay/neuter surgeries at our facility in San Diego, and at various locations throughout San Diego County.

Tax-deductible donations are welcome and needed, and go directly to providing free spay/neuter services to community cats in need.
